After graduating college in 2016, I returned to St. Louis, MO, craving the dynamic, intellectually stimulating atmosphere I had experienced at university. My eventual co-founder, Marina May, and I noticed a lack of a cohesive arts community in the city. Motivated by this observation, we founded SilverSpace, an online arts publication with a dual mission. Firstly, to provide a broader platform for the region's exceptionally talented artists, and secondly, to foster the growth of a vibrant artistic scene. Our name drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol's famous Silver Factory, SilverSpace showcased local arts events, featured artist profiles, and amplified their work, aiming to catalyze the development of a robust creative community in the area.
